Copying commercial DVD with read errors

I tried to copy a DVD main film using DVDFab with all usual standard settings for the read error handling;
but the corrupted sectors are not filled with blanks or other terms by DVDFab like described.

The new created DVD includes all the read errors again and doesn’t work on usual players, means the film stops at reaching the read error and moves only further by using the fast forward button.

What’s the problem? Can anybody help me? (Sorry for my school english and thanks in advance

To accurately diagnose the issue, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Verify the Source Backup

Use DVDFab to back up the problematic DVD to your computer as an ISO image or VIDEO_TS folder.
Play the backup file using a software player on your computer (e.g., VLC, PotPlayer).

If the backup plays smoothly (or with only minor stuttering): DVDFab has successfully processed the bad sectors, and the issue lies in the burning stage — please proceed to Step 2.

If the backup also freezes: The physical damage is severe and beyond software repair. We recommend seeking an alternative source.

Step 2: Burning Optimization (for “Plays on PC but freezes on DVD player”)
If Step 1 confirms the backup works on PC, please re-burn the disc following these rules:

Force a low burning speed: Manually set the speed to 1x or 2x (most critical).
Change disc type: Prefer high-quality DVD-R discs, which offer better compatibility with most home DVD players.
