Roku Subtitles

I am finding that the Roku downloader is storing subtitle files with an extension of ttml, however the content appears to be DASH segment m4s. I’m fine with renaming them and converting via SubtitleEdit, but it would be nice if the program could correctly identify them.

m4s is not a subtitle format (as you correctly noted while editing) ..
.. with SF I get the unchanged Roku subtitle with the ttml extension instead of vtt:

It looks like this is specific to certain titles:

Benson S01E11 -> m4s file (named ttml)
My Parents Are Aliens S03E09 -> vtt file (named ttml)
