JeffDavis dvdfab13.log35kB DVDFab13 has been unable to read disc 1 of the 6-disc “Tom & Jerry: The Golden Era Anthology (1940-1958)” collection. I’ve tried 3 discs, 2 of which were new, and 2 blu ray drives. After the third disc failed, I put it in a blu-ray player and it played without incident. I’ve been able to copy the other 5 discs of the collection. It appears the encoding of disc 1 is different and DVDFab cannot read it. The popup read error (attached image) is displayed when the disc is first accessed.
JustinKaase I am having a similar issue, although my failure point is with a different TV series and at the earlier stage/state of that pop-up window, the “Analyze…” stage/state. I will post if a satisfactory solution is reached.
Mona Copying a disc is not the same process as playing it. You can try cleaning the disc and then use Copy - Clone mode to load the disc again and see if it will make a difference.
johnnyiv I just got this Bluray set today and have the same problem. Discs 2 and 3 are no problem and disc 4 is running now. I tried cleaning disc 1 and it didn’t help, but seems it’s not just me.
johnnyiv I was able to use MakeMKV (currently free for 30 days) to make a decrypted backup of disc 1. Then I was able to use that backup as the source for DVDFab and it worked. Discs 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 were all okay… only disc 1 had problems.
