Just a heads up. Disney's Up must have new copy protection as nothing seems to work. My Ripitforme program doesn't dectect the disc, DVD Fab and AnyDVD simply scan the disc forever and on my Mac computers the latest jacktheripper software doesn't fare any better either.

All right, in looking up the Star Trek work around (just because) it appears I may have to turn off the Pathfinder in DVD Fab and then I'll email DVD Fab the info, but this won't happen until I get off work, which is another 8 or nine hours from now. Anyone else get UP to work?

Not available yet many places, so no way to test. USA release is Nov. 10th. FYI it's PathPlayer.

are you sure its title 50 and if so which one theres 3 50-1 50-2 and 50- 3

on the movie UP is there any better way to find the right title in movie mode than to decrypt them all and try to play each separatly Thanks any help would be welcome

Full bought version 6.2.0.2 works full disc on Win XP pathplayer enabled No Problem Here

I used ver 6.1.2.5 with this movie Pathplayer off, Main Movie only title 50, region 1 and burn with imigburn, plays perfect. Did this a week ago. Haven't needed to, but will try again with new 62o5 tonight.

Hi, new to forum.
Beta 6.2.0.2 backed up my chapters fine with 27-1.
My SONY Bravia now flashes the movie symbol on and off now tho.
Never seen this before.
I am currently transfering the VOB's to NTSC VOB's using pulldown to correct.
Our SONY has red flashing problems on HDMI (which SONY can't fix) so I'm forced to do this as the component input doesn't suffer from this.
For more info, check the AVS forums....
I'll get back after the conversion is completed to report.

DVDFAB HD Decrypter for UP

Just updated to new 6.2.0.5 version of HD Decrypter and while scanning DVD source keep getting message that I need to renew or buy DVD to DVD or wait for a new version of HD Decrypter. Any idea on when a newer version after today's new version is going to release for us HD Decrypter users or are the freeware guys going to be waiting awhile or have to buy DVD to DVD?

I did the exact same procedure as you've described--ignoring all errors, even though it seemed to play OK, I found that there are few seconds of the movie missing... The quite noticeable part is at the beginning--between the transition from chapter 1 to 2. One would not notice the missing portion if not viewed closely.

Even with 6.2.0.2 ripping the whole movie, when I played the DVDFab backup, I noticed that at that very instance, my standalone DVD player would glitch, freeze ever so briefly, and then continue on with the film--while playing the same backup with PowerDVD9 and VLC on the PC did not exhibit any such glitch.

The entire running time of the movie when ripped with 6.1.2.5 was about 1:35:5?, while with 6.2.0.2 it is 1:36:05.

ok, update::: Downloaded the new version today (2.0.5)and redid UP. This time, 35 mins movie only, set all settings back to default, just to make sure and it did a clean copy that shrink was able to easily deal with. Plays smooth, appears to be in order (although I have not watched the movie yet..will post if that changes after the kids come home and watch it) size cam ei n at just over 4.7 instead of 10.

I believe the problem with it glitching/freezing is write speed related since it plays fine on the computer. Try setting the write speed to half the rated speed of your blank media. If rated for 16x try burning at 8x

The ONLY way I was able to do the mive UP was the FULL DVD the 27-1 skips really bad no matter how many times I tried it. When I did the FULL DVD with the BETA stripper it worked OK. Just a heads up

I just made my backup copy of UP with 6.2.0.5 Full disc and it burn just fine but when playing the backup in my DVD player I have no menu. When I press menu the video pauses for a split second and continues to play. There was a couple of glitches at the very start of the movie.

The U.S rental has no menu so that is not a bug and has been conformed on another forum which will remain nameless

Thanks for your thought but my 16X discs are always burnt at 4X--custom configured via AWS in ImgBurn, and I've never had any problem ever. It's one heck of a coincidence to have it only occur exactly at the point where that missing segment occurred with the 6.1.2.5 rip though and not anywhere else in the rest of the movie.

Hmmm, well only other things I guess it could be is possibly a bad original disc or maybe the type of media you're using. Could try doing a scan using Nerocdspeed of the original to check for bad sectors.

Agreed, just a comment on this version of the disc. I just by chance was able to view this disc (NOT COPYING) and I have to say its a all time low for Disney/Pixar. Apparently they are discriminating against the hearing impaired as that disc also does not contain close captions or any sub titles what so ever. This is a sad sad thing for kids who may be hearing impaired and familys can't afford to purchase a disc and merely wanted to rent it to watch. :rolleyes:

I am using the latest copy 6.2.0.5 and disabled the path player selected main movie it came up with Title 21 and ripped it after sitting for 3 to 4 mins... it started and went fine. I burnt it and it works great.... Hope this works for others...

Yes you are right but all I was doing was giving information as to why members will not have a menu for the movie. As for the other forum I can not mention it here because it competitor for DVDFab which is why I said it will remain nameless

Besides I never said I had it nor did the other member as all I did was say why they had no menu that all and because of knowing that they get no help for the movie because we all know it not allowed

i found out the hard way by follow some suggestion in this forum
"play the movie under media player and then look for the title (when it play the movie)
mine was 31...and it work fine...no glitch or anything..
i am using the latest 6.2.0.5 and disabled the path player
hope this infor will help others.
UP was a good movie..better make a Digital backup before my kids kill the disc :)
