Using Virtual Drives to test ISO rips

    Editor's Note:
The suggestions and information in the guide still apply, but DVDFab now offers a free product that performs the same function: DVDFab Virtual Drive. You can download it from here in the forum and there is also a short User's Guide available for viewing or download.

Tired of wasting blank DVDs? There is a simple way to test your Ripped DVD before adding to your coaster collection. For this short and easy guide I'll be using MagicDisc, a very useful and handy tool for any one to have in their toolbox. It acts just like a DVD drive installed on your computer.

1.First thing is to do a simple search of the Internet, Download and install following the on screen instructions and I should also mention the best thing is ITS FREE

    2. Assuming you've already created an ISO image using DVDFab, navigate to the ISO, right click and select the virtual drive to mount the image to. (see pic below)

    3. Now that you've mounted your ISO file click on "Computer" find your Virtual drive and click on it to start playing with your default media player OR open the media player of your choice and select the drive within it to start playback.

    4. Don't forget to UNmount the ISO file after playback to be able to continue working with the ISO file or delete it in case something was not correct.

Thats it!!! Hope it saves your Blank Media for their intended purpose
