On my computer, encoding a file of DVD resolution will take about 60% of the cpu.
To make full use of the cpu, I activated the ability to run more than one instance of DVDFab. I then launch 2 encodes at the same time, setting one of the 2 at low priority in the os. The encode running at normal will take almost the same time complete and the other one make use of the remaining processing capacity.
Overall, the total encode time of both files is reduced compared to doing them one after the other.
It would be nice to be able to configure DVDFab to do 2 encodes at the same time. Even better if it does the priority cascade that I mentionned earlier.
