So I tried making some MKVs from standard discs (not hi-def) and they work perfectly using VLC player but I only get audio when I play them on my WD HD LIVE.
I know MKVs work on my WD HD as I have played some made by others . . . so that means I have done something wrong.
Using the latest DvDFab, what are the proper settings to have a MKV work on both VLC and WD HD LIVE?
I am shooting for a file size around 2 gigs that would look good on something close to a 47-50 inch television (yes, I know this is subjective and a matter of opinion).
Of course this is assuming that MKVs are better than AVI, I have no problem making AVIs.
Thank you for your time,
Eric
