Hi OpTiKaWn
I have moved your thread because you hijacked someone else's thread.
First I would say you need to make sure that you are using the latest drivers for your card.
Just try converting a couple of chapters from a movie to test the FPS speed, if you are using a high end card you will probably have better results with Cuda.
Hope this helps

Sorry wasnt payin attention, but yeah i have a brand new evga GTX 590 fastest card made with 12 megs of ddr3 ram and a i7 pentium. just didnt know what to use dvd fab had cuda slected by itself. for H.264 and vc1 and it had software slected in mpeg2 so basicly i guess is it ok to change mpeg2 to cuda?? and under H.264 for video encoder it has software+cuda so i know thats the better choice there. and as u were saying i guess if u have the preformance like i do then its fine to have the lightning recoding checked then???

If your card supports the codec then I would use your card as it is very fast.
Lightning Recoding causes problems for some but not all.
Like I said, run some tests and you will find the optimal settings for your rig, I'm sure you will not be disappointed with your set up.
