In fact, ANY program which has the file nscore.dll and it's running in the background, disable it (or unstall the program) and everything should be fine.

I am having the same problem installing the QT dvdfab programs on my XP machine. SP3 updated drivers and all updates for xp. When I go to install any QT program it goes all the way to the end then stops. If I goto system processes and stop the dvdfab.exe it will finish installing. When I try to run the QT program the dvdfab.exe comes on in processes and nothing else happens. 8092qt, 8097qt, and 8098qt all respond the same to install and run. Also I cannot uninstall them at all. Hopefully someone can figure the fix for XP and dvdfab compatability problems. I am currrently running fine on 8085. No probs there. Thanks for any advice.

There was another user with the same problem as you. Disable the program you got from NielsenOnline (the bar code reading) while you install and run DVDFab.

Have been posting on this does not work with 6 Core 1090T AMD at all since 8.3 when they changed engine and now does not work on my other xp system ether. Lifetime upgrades do not help if you break the working features in the process. And the features being added I do not use now and why would I invest more with what I am seeing? Have not seen any responds from Fengtao on this at all.

    Thanks CBR929.

And to help the developers, the original QT version I installed was v8.0.9.2. This version and the Beta I just downloaded (v8.0.9.6) also does not work on my XP system.

There seems to be several (not linked) topics on this subject. Can you, the Moderator, create a sticky link that will allow all affected users to report / assist with the solution?

For now, I will use v8.0.8.5, but I am seeking an XP solution for the QT iteration.

    Thanks

    Ken

I am having the same problem with the QT install under Windows XP. I am running XP SP3, with a Nvidia GeForce FX 5600 Ultra display video card with Nvidia's latest driver (175.19 WHQL) driver. I was able to successfully run DVDFAB (non QT) version, so there really seems to be an issue with some XP systems. As part of my trouble shooting, I completely uninstalled the working (non QT) version of DVDFAB (think it was v8.0.8.5). So can someone point me to this download, as I did not archive that version? I can only seem to find the latest QT build from your site.

To be perfectly clear, regressing to v8.0.8.5 is ONLY a stopgap measure until your development team comes up with a fix for these XP systems. Stating check that you are running the latest Nvidia driver is logical and I have done that, so what's next?

    Thanks

    Ken
