Just built a new computer with a Samsung SH-B123L/RSBP Bluray drive. It doesn't burn BR discs because I don't need that feature. I just want to rip all my BR and DVD to hard drive for DLNA streaming to my OPPO BR player. Have over 500 discs so time is of the essence (and storage of this collection is becoming a problem).
I want to get another BR drive as a backup. Is there one drive that is considered the fastest for ripping? I've been happy with the Samsung but have nothing to compare it to. It's taking between 20 and 30 minutes to rip "main movie" only for my discs so far. Is that good? Bad? Other?
Anyway, recommendations would be appreciated. It would be an internal SATA drive for Win 7 machine.
