ZuneHD files from Windows 7 TV recordings and DVDFab program best suited to my task

I have recordings of TV broadcasts I would like to transfer to my new ZUNE HD. For whatever reason, and I am intrested in knowing, the files are not listed to sync. Some I have form other sources are so it looks to me I must convert these to ZUNE with one of the DVDFab products I do not have.
Any advice so I can move my evening news and comedy shows to watch while I work at an inconvienient time?
