I recently talked to someone who said he felt CPU conversion from h.264 to h.265 produced a better picture quality than using GPU acceleration.
Has anyone else observed this?
Also a little while back I thought I read that CUDA quality enhancements were coming to h.265 compression in the fab line - does anyone have a link to more details on that?
Bottom line: If I want to convert some blu-rays into smaller files to save space, while getting the best picture quality possible, what is the best way to do that?
