Other ps2/ps3 game discs

may or may not be off-topic...

does dvdfab capable of backing-up ps2/ps3 game discs?

I need to back-up the originals, as it is getting to a point of scratches..

type of discs to use?
cd/dvd blank disc?

I know folks used to bkup PS2 discs with Fab 3.xxx, clone mode, -R media.
However, you still had to mod the platform.
I haven't heard of anyone doing it in awhile.

Last I heard...and it's been quite a while, you couldn't bkup PS3 discs and get them to play, period.

There were no other forum violations and signals didn't do it. The scuttlebutt is that the website text is due to be changed soon.

It would be a lovely add-on feature, worthy of an extra cost for sure....

I didn't make the original post but was involved in it. You can clone PS2 disks with Fab but like mainman said you must either mod the console or use swap magic to boot it. Nothing will copy the disk so that it will play in the console without a boot device. I've cloned most all the games I have and put the originals away for exactly the reason the OP has stated.

I have done the same with all my PS2 games.
