Hi there Everyone,
I'm a complete noob to archiving my Blu-Ray discs, and I'm confused as to how best to employ the Full Disc Copy feature. Naturally, I want backups of all my discs, so the feature appeals to me. What are some examples of programs I can use to actually watch one of these Full Disc Copies? And how would I go about using the FDC to create an MKV? It shouldn't be that hard to use it that way, right? Also, are there significant disadvantages to using FDC versus creating an ISO file, which seems to be more widely compatible? If I wanted to create ISOs instead, would DVDfab be able to help me, or would I need something more like Daemon Tools Ultimate?
One of the other things I'm frustrated about at the moment is that I have no idea how I would burn a new, backup BD using the FDC. As I said, very much a noob when it comes to FDC.
As far as paid software goes, I have CyberLink PowerDVD 22, DVDfab 13, and Daemon Tools Ultimate. I also use VLC Media Player (for playing most things) and HandBrake (for reducing MKV file size).
Thank you in advance for any help. If there are any guides on here that specifically answer my questions, you might point me to those; otherwise, I hope people will try to answer directly. Best wishes!
