First time Blu Ray burner and ripper here...
I'm using version 8.0.2.2
I'm using BD-R 25gb 1x-4x discs.
I have successfully created an ISO file of Iron Man, compressed down to 23gb. No problems there. The problem is when I go to burn that ISO onto the BD-R.
Now, this is the first time I have attempted anything like this so maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've been burning and ripping DVD's for years without any problems but then again maybe there's something I'm not aware of when it comes to doing this with Blu Ray.
When I go to burn the ISO, I go and put the BD-R in my drive (LG -BH10 10X rewriter). I make the selections... selecting the ISO file, selecting the target drive... when I click START, I get a message telling me that the disc is a double layer and that a single layer is all that is needed... do I want to continue anyway? I select YES... and the burn is started.
The process goes on for about 8 minutes or so...with the process getting to only 0.01%... then I get a message saying the burn has failed.
What am I doing wrong? Does the blu ray need to be "formatted" first? I do notice that when I first insert the disc into my drive I get a Windows message asking if I want to use the disc as a USB flash drive where files can be saved, edited or deleted... OR... use the disc as compatible with a CD/DVD player where files can't be edited or removed after burning. I have not made a selection either way and closed this window out. Do I need to make a selection here BEFORE using DVD Fab to burn the ISO to Blu Ray??? Remember... this is NOT a message from DVD Fab... it's coming from windows.
BTW... I'm running Windows 7 with 8GB of RAM and an AMD quad core processor.
I've already ruined two discs already and not looking to ruin any more. Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!
