problem trying to do cinavia disc full copy

I've tried full disc multiple times. The problem is now Fab connecting to IMGburn. j&b says Feng is aware of it, so I'm gonna wait on an update instead of encoding the same movie over and over, only to have it fail @ the burning stage. I have everything set up properly, I've posted logs also.

Maybe I'm missing something? Are there any settings I'm supposed to check in Fab? I got the Cinavia msg when I loaded SALT into the program and then the copy protected disc msg when before I was about to encode, so I figured it works by default.
Do I have to do that "trick" on the PS3 where you set to optical and multi-channel audio?
*EDIT* I did use clone mode to rip to HDD then mounted the .iso and encoded using full disc option to BDMV/Certificated folders, not .iso. Then burned using IMGburn. I'm not sure if that matters??
I think it's some errors with your operations.
It is wrong that you used Clone to HDD,it will destroy the cinavia protection in DIsc,so the ISO BD have been no cinavia. And it will play faild on PS3(The output file should have cinavia protection,if it be destroyed, the movie will no sound and have a warning after playing 20Min-21MIN.)
You can rip BD form Disc.
Good luck
Joe

Thanks for the replies j&b. It's good to know I'm not buggin
The last log is the same as the one posted prior to reinstall. It says, "failed to report binding nonce" at very end. The fab process log is typical and at the end says, "23:12:15: ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 - 23:12:22: Task_2 failed! Error=1"
I guess we wait for an update...

I under stand what the OP is about!! What I am saying is the disc will not play on the sammy or the PS3!! When I back up a disc I expect it to play on all players!! Disc's with cinavia protection will not play on certain players including PS3!! Well I am telling you that a BDRE backed up with cinavia protection will not play on my sammy!!
Indeed, if you have a PS3 and another player and you want to backup for both, you may have to make two discs. And I'll tell why is that: the protected backup is using a standard that is not implemented by all players. PS3 wanted to be the best player, and it was for quite a while, therefore they implemented *everything* about Blu-ray playback. For instance you can contact Samsung and ask them to implement "AACS protected BDMV on recordable" which is the techy name for the protected backup. If/when they add support, the backup will work on the Samsung as well.
Alternatively, you can wait for BDAV support to be added to DvdFab output choices, which is a broader supported format (ie. the BDAV protected support will work on both PS3 and other players). And before you ask why this was not the first choice to make, BDAV format is poorer in options, you don't get to have the original disc menu and other features on the disc, just main menu.

The only thing I can think of is that I have my autoplay options in control panel set to "Ask me every time" whenever a disc is inserted into my drive. I honestly don't remember that ever being an issue before though and if it were, I wouldn't see IMGBurn booting up from Fab and attempt to start burning, correct? I don't know anymore, I'm at a loss....
Fengtao is aware of the issue and it is investigated, so please help with the dvdfab_internal.log. Thank you. Other than that, there is no point to retry until a fix for this is provided. I'll try to update this thread when it happensLast edited by j&b; 01-24-2011, 09:05 AM.

I have the latest of both programs and followed the tutorial to setup both to work with each other.
On the plus side, running Fab on my SSD finished RE3D in 2hrs & 15min
Here's the log from Fab this time

Protected backup is meant to be used on PS3, on firmwares that have Cinavia detector.
You can do a clone iso, but leaving protection on.
Then mount with DvdFab and do protected backup.
As stated in changelog, RE3D is not supported in 3D mode when creating protected backup (only 2D).
Protected backup cannot be created outside DvdFab, it's a special mode of writing not available anywhere else (afaik).
Regarding a way to not burn the protected backup right away after it is prepared, you'll have to ask Fengtao for that. But there is not much use for such a delayed writing... protected backup is the disc itself that was written in the special way, so when you want to make one, you also write it.
Please post logs with the error code/message.

My fw is upto date but I'll try re-installing both Fab & ImgBurn.

*EDIT*
I don't think I can do the clone option. Once I mount and Fab reads, the copy protected option is grayed out.

The reason I asked about burning @ a later time is because if I can't figure out why Fab & ImgBurn aren't communicating, I can just close Fab and burn the .iso or folders it created in ImgBurn myself. I've never had an issue burning anything with ImgBurn til now.
ImgBurn needs to be 2550 (or newer).
You can also try to make a protected backup with VSO engine for a change.

Please post the logs and give us some details about the failure. (error code/message etc). Thanks
(Btw: if you want not to read the disc each time, you can make an iso with ImgBurn or with DvdFab in CloneMode but leaving the protections on, in the Bluray/Protection settings page; use that iso to make protected backup; again, this is just so you don't stress the bd drive too much).Last edited by vWvSTATICvWv; 01-23-2011, 10:02 PM.
