problem trying to do cinavia disc full copy

Ok so I did a main movie copy of the other guys! TDK BDRE did not play in the samsung 3600-4600! I out back into Fab and it played on the preview screen! I used the VSO burning engine! I am doing a re burn and I am gonna use the ImgBurn engine and see if that works! every time I have put the disc into the sammy I get to the same spot! I went and purchased a new BR Burner to rule out that option!! Will post results as time is getting shorter!

IMGburn opens, goes through the motions and then closes and fails in DVDfab.

The log for ImgBurn that DVDFab created could give you some clues to why it failed.

I have not seen that it's yet possible to compress whole Cinavia protected discs.

If you do BD25 on a movie that is bigger than that, DvdFab will compress it. Either in Full Disc or Main Movie mode. So compression is supported for Cinavia protected discs.

I wish someone knew whether you can do a clone first, then mount and do a full disc encode that way...? Atleast that way u can choose to do the encode at a later time.

Please post the logs and give us some details about the failure. (error code/message etc). Thanks
(Btw: if you want not to read the disc each time, you can make an iso with ImgBurn or with DvdFab in CloneMode but leaving the protections on, in the Bluray/Protection settings page; use that iso to make protected backup; again, this is just so you don't stress the bd drive too much).

Compression to BD25 is available and you can make (compressed) protected backup. If you have troubles, please post logs so you can get it to work.

Added BD25 "Full Disc" and "Main Movie" output support to copy Cinavia protected Blu-ray disc.

This is from the latest beta version. I have not seen that it's yet possible to compress whole Cinavia protected discs.

Compression to BD25 is available and you can make (compressed) protected backup. If you have troubles, please post logs so you can get it to work.

I tried to do SALT twice, whole disk to 25gb, with out sucess. I rember reading somewhere in the forum that you cannot compress a cinavia protected disk. If that is true then that would explain my sucess with main movie and failure with whole disk.

I have a question...If I decide to do lets say RE3 w/cinavia, can I use clone to my HDD then mount the .iso and do the encode at a later date and still be able to disable cinavia?? Or must it be full disc? I guess my question is, is the cinavia being disabled during the analyzing/ripping process or during the encode? Thanks

You cannot write protected disc from ImgBurn directly, it must be done from DVDFab, with DVDFab calling ImgBurn.

What you have done is not makeing a protected disc, it's just normal backup.

I've tried twice already to get Fab to call for ImgBurn and twice it has failed. I followed the guide to set them up, so I don't know what's wrong? After the encode, ImgBurn starts up, then closes and I get an error from Fab

*EDIT* Could the problem be that I have DVDfab installed on my larger internal HDD and ImgBurn installed to my SSD? Would I have to change any file locations in ImgBurn? I do it this way cause I don't want to run out of space on my SSD.

The latest version of ImgBurn 2.5.5.0 can be used to burn protected disc with DVDFab.

Just watched SALT, region 1, main movie, copy burned with imgburn on PS3 with latest firmware update. Main movie took about an hour and a half to copy with dvdfab bluray copy to a 25 gig LTH disk. Movie played without any problems at all. I am attempting a full sisk now to a 25 gig BDRE Verbatim. Looks like abot 9 hours with lightning recode. Will post results when known.

Im pretty sure we cant use imgburn yet to burn theese protected discs.. we must use the internal burner in dvdfab..

Im going to try this disc tonight when im home and will post results.

Update: Sorry i dont own salt yet, will try with Resident Evil Afterlife which also has this protection.

Really? I guess I'll give it one more shot..it's only a $1
