    HD Decrypter vs Blu-Ray Copy?

    Hello all,

My free trial to the BR Copy just expired, so I'm getting the message that it is now using HD Decrypter. At this point, I'm just burning to a 2 TB hard drive for back-up purposes, so I really don't need any "writing" tools. That being said, for the purpose of ripping to a HD, are there any major disadvantages to this Decrypter program as opposed to the full-blown BR Copy? The part that concerned me on the Products page was the quote "It can remove all the DVD protections and part of Blu-ray protections

Any advice/thoughts on this is greatly appreciated. Don't mind paying the upgrade if the alternative is ripping bad/protected copies that I won't be able to burn down the road.

    Thanks all!

Yes, as newer protection schema are implemented in new disk releases, the free version may lag by a long period implementing the defeat of them.

Also, as said, it will not remove ALL protection.
