Forgot to ask , another dumb question, how do you get rid of the unwanted audio, I looked at it and started to check a box "Mpe" only one would take a check. Clicking 8100 as opposed to 8968 will decrease the size?

I have Fab set up like this...Common Settings>Streams>Audio. I remove all pre-selected languages in the box to the right and then at the bottom place a tick in the main bottom choice "Select first track" and never had any problems getting a commentary track or foreign language. (I also have it set to not select any sub title tracks by default and if I need them it's just as easy to make a selection as to de-select it).

Yes that lets Fab know how much compression to apply.

Well glad I was some help lol but this log escapes me so I'll have to back out of this one and let someone else with more knowledge offer help. Hope this gets straightened out for you.

Please check your CD/DVD filters. Also check for a firmware update of your recorder.
Also try another blank type of blank media and if you have another recorder, try that one.

Thanks for the reply, am familiar with everything, but how do you check the CD/DVD filters? T.I.A.

you can use ImgBurn for that. Go into Tools on ImgBurn and select Filter Drive Load Order then click copy to clipboard. Once you have done that you post the results from the clipboard here by right clicking the mouse and select paste

Yes that lets Fab know how much compression to apply.
By setting "not select any sub title" does it not allow subtitles, as I need them sometimes. I am a little hard of hearing.

You can select the one you need still.

Edit: another thing just caught my eye

not a good brand of media I suspect, might give verbs a try.

Thanks for the reply. I did another rip with "English/Spanish" checked, when I set the player to Subtitles, it showed "on", but there were no Subtitles, I have the"no Hd audio" also checked, is this a factor?
So far the cheaper media is working, when I get this to where I feel I know what I am doing I will definetly switch to Verbs. At this point it's like a practice session.
