Multiple movie versions on same disc

HI all,

How do you make an ISO file with only the menu so you can choose the version you want to see with out making a full copy? Thanks

I do not know of a way to do that with DVDFab. The best I could do was to save the individual main movies and then use Nero to assemble them all into a blu-ray ISO. I used a default menu from Nero to allow selecting the movie to view on the player. It was a PITA and I will never do it again as disks are cheap nowadays.

So is there a way to copy the full disc and delete the rated version and just keep the unrated version of the movie but still keep all the extras? I just tried to delete the rated version of the movie and once I did that dvdfab wouldn't open the folder.

No, not currently. Hopefully we will have a Customize mode for Blu-ray Copy (like DVD Copy) before too long.

How to tell which version to copy in Main Movie Blu-ray

A recurring issue I have is picking which file to select in Main Movie Blu-Ray copy. Some movies, such as the Three Musketeers, have up to eight versions listed, each with the same length, for example file 802, 792, 594. The one on top is not necessarily the one I wish to copy as it may be the version with the director's commentary voice-over. Previewing the different versions does not solve the issue as the preview may show what looks like the correct, normal theater version, but after burning the disc, the copy turns out to be the director's voice-over. How can one know in advance before wasting time and expense on a disc?

1. Testing playback of original and making notes on chapters, times, which audio is correct, subtitles needed (especially forced).
2. BDInfo program to look at playlist contents and what videos are used where, etc.
3. the internet - see what others have learned about the title.
4. processing to hard disc and testing results before burning to make sure what you are doing is correct.
5. burning to rewritable media to test on your player.
