Just an update to this problem. No Change in the latest version 6.2.1.8 of DVD Fab BD50-BD25. Freeze is still at the same place.
-
Freeze also appeared at "Gone In 60 Seconds" without compression to BD-25 as it is small enough.

I have ordered a few BD-25RE disks so I won't wast my write once media for future testing LOL I have blown 3 disks now but that's to be expected for this type of thing. I have the utmost confidence in you and your fellow coders to get it all squared.
I only have the problem when compressing the movie to fit on BD 25 disks if I set it to BD 50 the resulting movie plays fine and I can compress it using a different program as a workaround.
Again thanks for putting out such a great program that makes backing up our library easy and fast.

So to say
The guy with the problem has right..
Have same problems but diferent time of Harry Potter 6 and Earth (earth i made another thread)... those freezes appear in different times in some films using BD Fab (DvD rebuilder doens't make any freezes.
And you are right this problem only occurs if there is a compression using BD Fab.
What makes me curious is that the freeze in my Harry Potter 6 is when Ron is lying in Bed and it takes a lot more then 1 minute and stays synchron.
Earth has freeze after 5 minutes or so and then is no more synch.
Seems to be a crazy Problem of BD Fab.
Actually i just wanted to say that jdenise didn't make any mistake in my opinion because i have the same problem but it only appeard at 2 BDs.
so long

I'm glade to have finally pinned it down to the compression of the file to BD25 disk size. It's only a about 1-2 gigs bigger than will fit on a a 25 gig disk. Maybe fengtao & ting will be able to look into this problem and come up with a solution to it.
Anyone know of a goog workaround to it besides burning to a BD50 media?

1. One player that can play BD's from folders on hard disk is Nero ShowTime.
2. The problem with harry potter 6 is at dvdFab compression BD50 to BD25. I have the same problem at that point in the movie. This is a common problem with many titles that need compression. My region is B.

Yes I am sorry for the confusion, I was inquiring about the original copy if that was having the pixelation problem.
Glad to hear you got a good back up finally.

Well the copy I tried last night has the same problem. The copy I made compressed a little. I set it to BD25 mode. I'll try one more at BD50 to see if that is what caused the problem. If there is no problem in the BD50 copy them it's has something to do with the copy process or the compressor in DVD Fab not a bad press as the BD original plays fine or so I would imagine. Is that the correct way to look at this problem?
Just finished the BD 50 Copy and it is just perfect so the problem is in compressing it to BD 25 in DVD Fab.Last edited by jdenise; 12-15-2009, 12:07 PM.

Hi jdenise,
Hate to be the one to say this, but you have a bad press, can you still return it for an exchange ?

Yes touchdown_1 it is the same when played on the standalone player and the computer. I DL'ed a newer media player and will re-rip the movie to see if I see it in the a new rip. Will post back with my result in about an hour.

Yes I agree Ritek is OK, it is TDK's you want to stay away from, that being said,
do you have the pixelation problem if you play this in a stand alone player, at the same chapter that you are experiencing when you play back from your HDD ?

The copies I tried (Both of them) freeze the same in both Standalone player and on the Computer with PowerDVD 9 Ultra player. The Disc play does not stop just the picture freezes with the audio playing happily along for about a minute to a minute and a half the picture resumes motion and finishes playing the rest of the movie with no problems.Last edited by jdenise; 12-15-2009, 01:49 AM.
