also I notice at random times it asks me to insert a disc...

I never burn to disc...cannot seem to find any settings to prevent fab from looking for a blank disc to burn to.

I guess version 9 will have to take some time getting use too...8 worked perfectly for me...I prefer the user interface on version 8. (maybe Ive just been so use to it).

I was looking through the settings and noticed this:

Enable Bluray 3D only disc to be played on 2D display

it was on by default.

could this be the culprit?

The new version 9 fab can read the 3D Nemo bluray, but will not convert into 3D half sbs...the outcome is a file which contains many ssif and m2ts files, but its not side by side. I will re-run and try to provide the log.

Fab 8 does not read Nemo 3D disc, Fab 9 reads Nemo 3D disc but will not convert to side by side!

getting this error too...Ultimate Collectors Edition

using the 3D disc, will try the standard Bluray disc later.

Fab opens the disc fine, shows all tracks...when you hit "start" to copy it fails.

I tried 8.0.8.5 but it says "Update DVDFab to open this disc".

The disc is clean. It's brand new right out of the package. I watched the movie on my BR player with no problems. But, I cleaned the disc anyway but made no difference.

Has anyone been able to make a copy of this BR movie?

Or, is this a case of nefarious, new protection scheme?

On a positive note...this is the first BR disc I bought that actually lets you press the "menu" button and go right to watching the movie without all the annoying warnings and ads. And it remembers where you were if you turn off the player mid movie. Finally, the studios are waking up! The primary reason I back up my movies to hard drives is because I want to watch the movie not fumble through menus and previews and junk for 10 minutes.

You are receiving read errors, I know you said it was brand new, did you try cleaning the disc?

There may also be a new copy protection on the disc and the developers will have to deal with this.
Do you have any older versions of Fab to try, like 8085 found here

Version 9 just came out and they are still improving on it.
The developer said that version 8 will still be updated for a little while until version 9 is completed.

When I ran the program before I started it downloaded the update to 8.2.2.0 but looking online I see version 9.0.1.2 is out so I'm downloading that version and will give it a try. I wonder why the program didn't d/l the latest version?
