I'll rerip them tomorrow. What do you want exactly.

Cert folder from original disc? Cert folder with only aacs/bd+? Cert folder with region removal? all? some?

so I dont think its the cert that is the issue, I copied the raw one in and the dune didn't complain, but otherwise failed in a similar manner

so I think its choking on whatever java changes were made.

to be a bit clearer, "dune didn't complain" about a cert error, but otherwise failed the same way. So the cert issue wasn't the problem, hence why I think its an issue with the java code, as the only difference between the aacs/bd+ checkboxes and the aacs/bd+/region removal should be java changes in this case.

Ripped Homland Season 4 Disc 1 with 9.3.1.6 with everything checked, same error. reripping as we speak with only the AACS/BD+ boxes checked.

As an additional test, I tried playing it with menus with vlc and 0.9 libbluray w/ bdj support (hit or miss if it works, for example 12 Monkeys Season 1 suprisingly worked great, even mouse support in menus). In this case, it started to load, and then hung. Going to see if the new rip changes anything (i.e. if it does, it would point to be more than an interoperability problem with the dunes)

so the new rip is ongoing, copied over everything besides the STREAM/ directory (though no FAB! directory yet) to the old copy and it made more progress. Instead of hanging, I got the red warning screen. will see what its like in 40 or so minutes when its finished ripping

yep full rip with just AACS/BD+ removal resulted in red screen on the dune.

Have you tried doing a clean Uninstall of dvdfab and run a good registry cleaner
Restart computer then reinstall dvdfab ??

yes, I'm actually running it in wine (yes, I know not a supported configuration, but I've experienced no difference and I've tested these both against a wine and win10 installation)

I should be clear, these discs are playable in other players (ex: total media theater) so I just view it as an interoperability issue that your main competitor doesn't have. (Now that my license for the other one is no more, trying to figure out what I need)

If you are open to figuring out how to make it work with the dune, good for me, otherwise its going to force me back in the other direction.

And a further note, the vast majority of BRs I've tried to rip with DVDFab work fine in the dune, its just these handful that I post about that choke
