PLEASE READ! Burning BD25/BD50 with imgburn.

    THANK YOU!

I backup all my dvd and blu-ray to HD. (Folder backup.)

But i wanna buy a blu-ray burner and start burning them since they take up a lot of space. So my questions is as follows.

    1. If i backup a BD25 original movie to ISO, Can i burn it with imgburn like a regular DVD5? Since it`s single layer, or do i need to make changes to imgburn?

    2. Because of layerbreak i think (correct me if i`m wrong) BD50 should be backed up as folder, then create an ISO from that folder and set correct layerbreak.

Thought i would start with BD25 since they are single layer. Please help me out with simple solutions, i`m a rookie at this blu-ray stuff.

    Thank you.

    Yes

    No

Doesn't matter if you ripped to folder or as iso file. When you start a burn and a layer break needs to be set ImgBurn will prompt you.

When burning an BD50 from folder (full backup) with imgburn.

Do i choose write files/folders to disc.

Witch files/folders do i choose for burning?

And the default settings will work? No need to change some?

      Thank you.

In options when burning with imgburn.

        File system: ISO9660 + UDF

        UDF revision: 1.02

these are default settings, but do i change them? though i read something about that.

But with BD25 iso full backup i just burn ISO to disc like a regular DVD5?

But since all my BD50 are folder bakcup (full) and i use files/folders to disc. The default is for DVD9 but is changes needed for BD50 burn?

        Thank you.

The main folder named your movie

Other than setting the aws, I haven't changed anything.

If trying to burn a Blu-ray, ImgBurn will detect AND prompt you for any changes. All you need to do is select yes and ImgBurn will make the necessary changes.

What does DVD9 have to do with BD50 or BD25? your blank media is either BD50 or BD25 as mentioned, right? Select BD50 or BD25, whatever your blank media is.

yes, for burning BD-R you should change it to UDF 2.50

ImgBurn will prompt you to make the changes if needed, going from DVD format to BD or vice versa should make ImgBurn pop up a prompt to make the changes for you.
