Unknown error occured

I have the exact same error.
I have tried with "The Men who stare at Goats", "Clash of the Titans" and "Bad Lieutenant".
I have tried on 3 different computers. 2 with Windows 7 and one with Windows XP64. Same error.

Harq, please try again with the Alice in wonderland disc, please.

Alternatively, try disable temporarily the Firewall while DvdFab communicates with the server. The behaviour of DvdFab is like the server would not know about that disc and would not be able to handle it, which is not the case here. (The communication is somehow corrupted).

Thank you for that. I've checked the MKB and it is fine.
As you can imagine, the "unknown error" message should never be seen, which indicates a strange configuration error. We'll investigate it further and come back to you.

Have you tried removing Alcohol 120% yet like Racem22 mentioned in post#12. That the only thing I can think of that would cause this as I not have it installed on my computer also when I did have an older version of it installed I did have issues with DVDFab but not sure what those issues was as it was a while ago

first of all, did this happened with other discs or is it the first time you see such a message ("unknown error")?
Also, would you be so kind to upload somewhere a file from the disc? I'd like to check \AACS\MKB_RO.inf from ALICEINWONDERLAND.

Harq, You mentioned all kind of drives physical and emulated, other software, Passkey, etc. Is there chance that you were running DVDFab and Passkey at the same time? They are not best friends, and Passkey causes all kind of issues for DVDFab... Please look into it...

Why don't you try uninstalling Alcohol 120% once and try it again. That might be causing issues.

I accidentally had that disk in one of the drives when i was trying to rip the BR disk. I have actually 6x rom type drives on this computer. 3 dvd burner/lightscribe(physical), 1 BR drive(physical), it also has 2x virtual drives that come with Alcohol 120%.

You brought up a point, does any other software make DVDfab unstable/unusable?

Is it limited based on ROM drives? I have tried it on multiple computers and i still get the "An unknown error has occured."

If the programmer could just give me a hint on what an "Unkown Error" is....

I do thank you all for your replies, i am just trying to get this to work. Is there any possible way a MS patch or something caused this?

After your reply i am going to build a new pc and try reinstalling bare bones, to see if i can emulate it.

Ok why does it seem like all the discs you're ripping have a volume label of "COD4MW"? Which I'm guessing stands for Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. It just seems weird to me. You are using the original bought discs right?

I don't know whats going on really, just the 3 different volume label thing looks fishy. For each disc it has Volume Label: COD4MW then the next one says the actual movie name then the next one says Volume Label: COD4MW again.
