they should not be there unless you saved them to hard drive before you burned. If you saved them then they will be on computer until deleted. Not sure maybe delete them and give another movie a try to see if they will be deleted as well if those folders empty

I looked into it and, indeed, there is a checked box there indicating that temp files be deleted when done. However, when I looked at DVDFab in the C Drive's "Documents" folder, the temp file showed Iron Man 2 in the MainMovie subfolder and another movie under the FullDisc subfolder. Both BDMV and Certificate folders appeared as subfolders in each one of the above-mentioned.

Could it be that the last movie copied under each of those options will stay there until another one replaces it? The reason I ask is that I had burned another Full BD right before the one that appears on the FullDisc subfolder now, and it does not appear to be stored anywhere.

    Saved Movie File

I was just wondering what happens to movies that have been compressed using blu ray copy after they have burned to a disc. Are they automatically deleted from the hard drive? I'd sure like to know for I don't need to have all that HD space taken up by movies I already have on a disc.

What is the easiest way to check this out?

    Thanks.

When a burn attempt fails I think DVDFab will keep the temp folder without deleting it but not really remember as it been so long since I had a burn fail on me

Let Fab finsh analizing this will take a long long time.
Just watch the whole movie all is good.
After many failed attempts, not to mention blu ray coasters, I burned to a 25 GB disc the movie, which had been saved in the Vista "Documents" folder ("Documents\DVDFab\temp\MainMovie\Iron_Man_2=D1_AC "). Not sure of how it got saved there after DVDFab 8.0.0.5 failed to burn to a disc the first time around.

In any case, since the file had already been compressed, it was ready to be burned to a 25 GB disc in full. Thus, I burned it directly from this folder using Blu Ray Copy's "Full Disc" mode and it worked this time around!

Oops! I forgot about that. You're right. Thank you for reminding me.

I'm not sure what the problem here is. I copied Iron Man 2 yesterday just fine. I was using version 7.0.8.2. I ripped the movie only to my hard drive and split it into 2 folders and burned 2 discs using Imgburn. No problems here, the movie plays just fine on my PC, haven't tried it on my stand alone player yet.

Yup, that's why I said "if version 8017 doesn't fix it, you will have to wait for the next release" which is now, try version 8021 to see the result.

    Another "Iron Man 2" Coaster

Neither DVDFab nor ImgBurn worked. According to both programs though everything was copied correctly. No indication of an error anywhere.

Nonetheless my blu ray player does not recognize it!

I put the ImgBurner coaster back into my blu ray writer and it appears what ImgBurner did was to burn a "Main Movie" file folder, which contains the BDMV and Certificate folders in it - but not a movie.

I's sure I'm missing something here.

Can the files in that "Main Movie" folder be turned into a BD disc that plays the actual movie?

    will copy - won't burn

I was able to get the 8.0.1.6 version to copy the blu ray movie. Problem is it won't burn it. It does not recognize my BD drive I guess. it claims that "No media is detected in Drive F."

Can I burn this movie later since a BDMV copy has been placed in the Documents folder?

Also, can I burn the movie directly from the DVDFab screen, which is still on my screen seeking a writable disc, with another program: i.e. ImgBurn?
