Why turn DVD to Blu-ray?

I had couple Blu-ray concert disks (store purchased), and successfully converted them into DVD's. (Ripped and burnt them.) The picture quality was pretty good. Here's the question:
Blu-ray quality is superior to DVD. Why would anybody rip a DVD and burn the files onto blank Blu-ray disk? I don't think the video quality will get any better. Any thoughts?

one thing i can think of is that not all movies are on Blu-ray yet.

Blu-ray players plays recorded DVDs. So, I wonder what the advantage is ripping a purchased dvd and burning it onto blank blu-ray disk. Considering how much a recordable blu-ray disk costs!!

You can use DVD to Blu-ray Converter to convert and save/burn several DVDs into one Blu-ray. And if you want to upgrade the video quality, you can use DVD2BD plus Enlarger AI to do that.

When you have a TV miniseries that is on 2 or 3 DVDs, you can place them all on one Blueray. It's about convenience.
