Ok I had removed 8085 and installed 8084 QT to try it out, so i reinstalled 8085 and encoded a couple movies. the movie is off this time by about 1 second, some others were off by up to 10 seconds tho.

        Hi kradnam

Download Media Info here http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en and check the frame rate of the original source folders that you have ripped to your hard drive, when converting make sure to select the same frame rate as the original source, click the edit button near the bottom and in the drop down box select the frame rate.

I have tested this to where leaving same as source Fab is choosing 23.976 when the correct frame rate is 29.970 and the sync is off.

I will test your settings and report back.
I will be using frame rates other than 23.976 to test.

        Tests Done
Used (generic.avi.xvid.audiocopy) Source folder on HDD frame rate 29.97, kept same as source "audio and video" were out of sync
Used (generic.avi.xvid.audiocopy) Source folder on HDD frame rate 29.97, changed to 29.97 "audio and video" were in sync from the start

        Hope this helps

Hi, CBR929, just read your test results, it looks like DVDFab isn't selecting the correct frame rate when "same as source" is selected. I did similar test--same result.Previous versions have been OK for a while though.

Different movie this time. yeah I have used media info for long time now, most dvd's are 23.976 and if off a little then 24 will solve the sync prob, like the next three days.
It seems dvdfab isn't selecting the correct frame rate like stated lately, but on some movies no matter the frame rate, the audio / video still are off by 2-10 seconds.

              Hi kradnam
I just installed 8.0.7.3 and left everything as default and the sync was perfect
You can have more than one version of 8 installed if you want.
To do this if you want: during install when the screen comes up for destination folder I put C:\Program Files\DVDFab 8073 and start menu folder I put DVDFab 8073, I change the blue which will allow me to have more than one version installed, it will not put 2 icons up but, click start on your desktop all programs and it will be there.
