Did you have any luck?
Raisin,
Did you ever have any luck getting DVDfab to work again? I seem to be having a similar problem. Program is running in my application list, but GUI never appears.

I'm running a very similar rig...with Win7 Pro, 64-bit and also have CDBurner XP installed without any issues at all....I doubt seriously that this is the culprit.
When I get a chance, I'll roll up my sleeves on this one and try to devote what gray matter I have left.
Unfortunately, this is my weekend of penance and I'm doing long shifts all weekend , including Monday.
I'll pop in when I'm able if I've got any bright ideas.
BTW, where's signals?...he loves a good mystery...hehehe

Hi Raisin,
Stuck at work here and just scanned your thread.
Have you tried simply uninstalling your burner in device manager?
Reboot and windows will reinstall and assign the appropriate drivers
Sorry if I missed this and you already did it.
If no go, you might try uninstalling all instances of patin-couffin driver.
Look in device manager, scroll to the bottom to VSO, click + to expand and
uninstall all instances of p-c driver.
No software uses p-c anymore anyway...VSO was the only one that did and now VSO uses SPTI for access layers.
You can always reinstall p-c with Fab if you want.
Recommend on the next install, untick VSO during installation.

Yes, indeed, it's pretty bizzare. I have a GTX280 that I will try updating drivers for. Strange though, I haven't updated them recently and everything worked fine before.
Is there a way CDBurner XP could have messed with some essential windows file without fixing them after uninstall? Could I be missing some dll Windows files even if I receive no error message?

You have an unusual set of problems, raisin. If you have an nvidia chipset on your video card, try updating the driver. I have been told by the staff that they are working on some of the crash problems that seem to only effect a few users.

I try to select the filter and click the remove selected filter button but it remains even after I click refresh!?
edit: Nevermind, running IMGBurn in administrator mode fixed the issue
2nd edit: DVDFab problem remains after removing ALL filtersLast edited by Raisin; 10-05-2010, 04:07 AM.

Have you tried deleting the device filters, especially Sonic? You may have to reinstall it to make it work again, proceed with that in mind.

I have uninstalled DVDFab and ran CCleaner registry. I have reinstalled DVDFab as admin and the problem persists

I use MSE and it does not interfere with DVDFab. Use the uninstaller for DVDFab and then run CCleaner registry to remove the left files for DVDFab and then reinstall DVDFab latest release as Administrator to do that save the installer to computer and once done downloading right click the installer and select install as administrator. If same problem post back

Thank you very much for the information. I have tried to uninstall the anti-virus (MSE) and it hasn't fixed the problem and neither does trying to run the program in safe mode.
To everyone in China, happy holiday!
