I am new to ripping, have been using dvdfab 8.0.9.2 for putting my dvd's in mp4 format so i can watch them on my ipad when traveling. I recently got a panasonic plasma which is dlna compliant, i am using serviio media software to access my itunes library on this tv but it will not play the mp4 movies. can anyone suggest a format to rip my dvds to so my wife can access them thru the tv. have watched a few ripping videos on youtube and they talk about ripping and transcoding and it being a long process, is this true, basically would like to make a small video server to access my dvds and blurays, just need the right format for my tv to access, also if there is a common format that my sons could watch on their tv using an xbox360 to access, thanx in advance.
