I am a newbie to DVDfab, so any help would be appreciated.
I am using DVDfab DVD Ripper Version 8.2.2.6
I have a DVD that was shot using a video camera and put on to a DVD (from a trip I was on and the video was shot by an employee for the event I was at while in the Bahamas) after DVDfab reads the DVD it shows the original file to be a MPEG2 file. I ripped the DVD to a generic.avi.h264.audiocopy with resolution set to 720x540 and the "deinterlacing" box was checked (I did avi because I want to edit it later) I also used 1 pass conversion and left the "Disable all GPU..." box checked as well as the "enable lighting recording..." box checked. Once finished the output video runs twice as fast as the original but the sound is normal speed. I tried again this time with the same setting as above but unchecked the "Disable all GPU..." box and "Enable lighting recording..." box but the interlace box was still checked. Also on both attempts the video encoder and decoder were all set to software. Again the same result of video too fast and sound normal. Both times I viewed the video using windows media player.
Ultimately I want to add the output video to some other video and pictures for a vacation DVD I am making. I did stumble across a free DVD to video ripper which I tried and it worked perfectly, but DVDfab is far superior with its options not to mention I paid for it so I want to be able to use it.
