DVD Ripper Subtitles not showing since 9.0.3.2

Recently I upgraded to 9.0.3.2 and noticed that the extract to file subtitles are not working. The task completes and the subtitle files are created, but they are empty and the file size in small. I currently use VLC Player (and VLC Streamer on my iPad) to watch my movies, and a PS3 to wath them on my TV. I encode my movies in avi format. Here is the abridged log file:

Another subtitle problem, I am having started in 9.0.2.8, and is currently still a problem. If I try ripping a file to avi, and try to direct render the subtitle to the avi file, the file processes, but does not show any embedded subtitles.

    Can this be fixed?
    Thanks!
