DVD Ripper only rips part of the movie and claims complete

I have had this happen a few times, but here is the most recent. Any help is appreciated. It only ripped 1:14 out of a 2:15 movie. Using 9.1.4.0. Windows 7. It chimes and says that it is complete. Here is the internal log:

It seems read error during converting. Check the disc or change a drive.
You can tried clone it. Then ripped it to mp4.

      Hi Dora,

I've had this issue too and posted a thread on it. This is due to the new auto abort functionality that isn't quite working right.

The problem is that a read error occurs during the ripping then the retry/ignore/abort dialog pops up. The dialog automatically selects abort if you do nothing in 10 sec. When abort is selected, the task doesn't actually abort and continues on as if ignore was selected.

The real issue is that the abort operation doesn't work correctly.

The result is a partial rip that claims to be successful when it really was not.

This problem also occurs if you manually press the abort button instead of waiting for the 10 sec timeout.

      Hope this helps.

Ignore and Abort do the same thing when the pop up window appears. What *should* happen when you press abort (or let the timeout automatically select abort) is that the task stops and is marked as failed, but this does not occur.

                  Hi Dora,

Just tried 9143 beta and happened to run a bad disk through it. The Abort button and auto-abort functionality still do not work.

These disk errors are being caused by scratched disks, no software can fix it. That's why it's important that the abort functionality work correctly.

Currently trying to abort causes a lock up and letting auto abort go doesn't cause the process to stop and dvdfab claims that the rip was successful. The only way for me to know that it really failed is to go through the logs each time looking for failures and errors.

                          Only partial movie(s)

                          Hi everyone,
I'm getting the same error, except on the Mac version (v.9.1.4.2)
Almost 120 movies in VOB_TS format do not fully Rip. We receive just a few minutes of the movie.

Work-around: For some reason Ripping each movie individually, and not in queue seems to yield better results, but it's not perfect.

                          Any suggestions??

                          Thanks!
                          Chris

Where are you got the VOB_TS files? From disc folder? Did you use converter?
Make sure the vob_ts can playable. You can also use the ripper to rip the original disc.
