Cant get chapters to work

I am using v 9.1.4.0. I am using DVD ripper to back up my DVDs to a PS3 format. WHen DVDFab is done the finished file says its a MP4. The original movie always has chapters, but I cant seem to get the chapters in my MP4 finished file. I stream the MP4 file from my computer to my PS3 using an Ethernet cable. WHen watching the MP4 file I cannot advance through chapters. I hit the forward button but nothing happens. This is the same if I am watching the video on my computer through windows media player. I hit the forward chapter button and nothing happens. This is the same for about 30 movies I have put on my computer. None have chapters. What am I doing wrong?
I saw at some point people want me to post a log file. How do I do that?

Here is how you can open your log files find the log file named fabinternal the last post in it is the log for your latest attempt cut and paste only the log file for the movie you have trouble with not the whole log.

You may also read the link in the bottom of my post on other log files should you get asked for a different file.

Also, a lot of MP4 format variants/players do not support chapter marks.

Use MediaInfo to see if the chapter marks are actually being muxed into the file.

Hi ahelwig
I have ripped a dvd to Play Station 3(MP4), the results has chapter when play in vlc and player 2.
Like GregiBoy said a lot of MP4 players do not support chapter marks.
I also play it through windows media player. It has no next chapter button.
I do not know if we use the same version windows media player. See my picture play on VLC and my windows media player.
