BD Ripper (3D Plus) BD Ripper Crashing every time

Am using bd ripper (latest version 9.2.0.9) with a core i7 laptop and an external BD drive (Sammy SE506). DVDFab works until beginning to rip and then, when start is clicked, it crashes. Every time. Any ideas?
