DVD Ripper [Solved] No higher resolution for DVD Ripper?

I've used MagicDVD Ripper a lot in the past for DVD's and DVDFab Blu-Ray Ripper for BD's. MagicDVD Ripper allows me to choose any 4:3 or 16:9 resolution for the ripped output file.

With DVDFab DVD Ripper, I see 632x480 as the max resolution. I'm trying to use my usual mp4 profile and also the other mp4 profiles. No difference.

    Am I missing something?

I see that now, and it might come in handy another time, but it's only to crop the Aspect Ratio. It's doesn't change the Resolution. With MagicDVD Ripper, I could manually enter 1440x1080 for 4:3 sources for example. DVDFab is not showing any indication of allowing me to rip to a higher resolution than 632x480.

ID:	424135You can manually input the resolution you want.
However, this resolution will not give you higher video quality.

Thanks for that. I did not know I could type into that field.

Realistically, video quality is improved via the Encoding Method and Video Quality (different names in other apps) to get a nice looking output file. I ripped Soap and MASH with the other program to amazing results, so I'm hoping DVDFab DVD Ripper will do even better.

For TV show DVD's, I am seeing an issue where I select all the options I want under Advanced Settings, save it with a custom name and "Apply To All" checked, and it does not use those settings for any episodes but the first one I where chose those settings.

Also, I can select a bit rate of 384 kbps for the first episode, then the drop-down only goes to 128 kbps on the other ones.

            Very irritating, this DVD Ripper.

After you adjust the options in the Advanced Settings panel, you can save the changes as your profile, and then use that profile for other conversions.

I had that checked all along, but it just kept forgetting the settings until maybe the next day, or several app restarts later. It seems to be keeping the settings now.
