deinterlacing

Do you know if this deinterlace mode funcationality still works? I tried to use it and couldn't get it to work. I outlined the problem in this thread:

(not trying to hijack this one, but I haven't gotten a response on that thread and I'm trying to do what you're describing here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.)

Tried that...twice. Got no response, so I tried here as the advice recommended is not working for me with the current version.

Would love to get a response that is actually helpful rather than a post directing me to waste my time reposting in the same thread. I'm well aware of the thread I posted that has no response other than another member with the same problem.
