Hoping someone could help me..I have a macbook pro connected via USB to an external HP dvd1270 writer. DVDfab 8QT does its part and when it prompts for writable media the writer won't open, it's like the tray is stuck. I tried unplugging briefly and rebooting to see if it will open and it does, however when I put my verbatim blank media it still does not recognize anything. The mac does have the drive listed under "devices" but nothing happens??
Could my external drive be on it's way out or something else? Thanks
