No the link is not good anymore - I always upload to OneDrive with a timeout - I'm a bit paranoid ;-)
So a new link to a Main Move (and a screenshot showing the lack of success).

Hi pju55, the fix should long since have appeared, sorry if it is still a problem. I will try to duplicate it again and re-send it to the devs. Having some trouble with the download, should it still be good?

The link worked fine, checking it now.
I have duplicated the problem and will send it to the developers.

The problem is that the background layer of the pixels that make up the sub image are not being rendered (the ones that are normally white or yellow) or are possibly being rendered as transparent. I tried a different DVD and the subs were fine, so it may be some incompatibility with the way the subs are authored on that disc. To check it, the developers will need all the IFO files from the original disc and a decrypted portion of one of the VOB files of the movie. You can produce this by using DVD Copy mode Main Movie and selecting only a single chapter of the movie to be processed. Send me a PM when you have all the above zipped and I will send you upload instructions.

Subtitle rendered into video is unreadable due to missing contrast
I have ripped an old DVD "Haven" with subtitles rendered into the video and it works nicely.
But, the text is unreadable due to lack of contrast between text and pictureas shown on the attached example. If I rip the DVD with remux, the subtitles are OK readable.
I wonder why there is a difference between the two modes.
Seems like DVDFab somehow makes a poor choice of font and typesetting.Tags: None
