Streamfab V2.0.2.5 still downloading incorrectly H265 on HBO Max

Despite setting Amazon and HBO Max to download H264, Streamfab v2.0.2.5 is still incorrectly downloading in H265 format and in the case of the new Dune title include HDR, which I do not want. HDR is also disabled in my settings.

did you try restarting streamfab ??
just like with dvdfab if you change a setting you have to restart
for the changes to take effect.

I see the same thing.

Set as H.264 and the box for Download 4k unchecked, StreamFab v4.0.2.5 still brings down 1080p as H.265/HEVC from HBOMax, and in the case of Dune it pulls down 1080p H265/HEVC with HDR10.

As a comparison, using a competing product, if h265 1080p is selected you get HDR10. To get non-HDR 1080p for Dune you need to download as H264/AVC.

yes the setting was already correct before installing the latest version. and there was a complete restart after installing the latest version

For me, this has only happened with the Dune (2021) title. Other titles I've downloaded from HBO Max are in H264 format (which I have set in settings)

I am still at version 2.0.2.4 of StreamFab, fyi

for what it's worth, i downloaded from HM this morning and the downloads were H264. i'm using 2.0.2.5.

Its fixed now in 5.0.0.4.

If you go Settings -> VIP Services... and set:
Video Codec (Amazon & HBO Max) = H264
Audio Codec (selected if Available) = EAC3/AC3
Video Resolution = Full HD - 1080p
Download HBO Max videos in 4K HDR/Dolby Vision quality if available = UNchecked


It will download DUNE as H264/AVC, 1080p, no HDR, with 768kb/s 48kHz, 6 channel, E-AC-3 JOC (Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos)

Also, worth noting is I updated but it still ran the old version until I actually shut down the app and started it again manually with version 5. It used to restart the app when updating.
