I noticed that a process called QCEF was running and taking up a lot of CPU a few minutes ago.
I searched for QCEF on Google & found it's related to Streamfab & found a previous thread at:
DRM Downloader idle, using most RAM & causing computer to lag
https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/softwa...omputer-to-lag
I did run Streamfab earlier today several hours ago, but the only thing I've had open since then was Chrome.
I'm on Windows 10 using the current version of StreamFab X64 5.0.1.2
I searched Regedit & found a few QCEF/Streamfab references such as:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache
C:\program files\dvdfab\streamfab\qcef.exe.FriendlyAppName
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\LowRegistry\Audio\PolicyConfig\PropertySt ore\57bbfb45_0
{Default} {2}.\\?\hdaudio#func_01&ven_10de&dev_0092&subsys_1 0438717&rev_1001#{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}\topo06/00010001|\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\DVDFab\StreamFab\QCef.exe%b{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
Should this be looked at by the developer again?
What is QCEF, what does it do & should it be running in the background after StreamFab has been closed for several hours?
I killed the QCEF process from Task Manager & then rebooted.
Thanks!
