Can't download Amazon content...

Has anyone else been unable to download anything from Amazon recently? HBO, Netflix, etc all work except Amazon. Tried on three different computers and still unable to download Amazon. Has something changed? I have the latest version 6.0.0.6.

You're right, something HAS changed - a major DRM change was implemented on Dec 10th that affects all streaming services. You can read more about it if you check out the following topic, as well as other discussions on this forum.

Right now you might be able to download some older content from Amazon at full resolution and EAC3 audio using your current version, but newer content in particular will fail to download. If you upgrade to 6.0.0.7., you should be able to download again, but video and audio on newer content will still be affected by the change - the best you'll get from Prime is 480p and AAC 2.0, so it's up to you what version best suits your needs.

Please note that they're aware Prime quality is still affected, and they're working to correct it. Hopefully it won't take too long!

Fix: Due to the upgraded DRM schemes applied on Dec. 10, timely fixes were made in this new version, however, we still need some time to correct all the other problems.
Here below is the current status of the streaming services:
- For Amazon, most of Prime videos can still be downloaded in 1080p with EAC3 5.1 audio track, however, the newly-released ones will be downloaded in 480p with AAC 2.0 audio for now.
- For other services, most of videos can be downloaded as usual, only the newly-released ones will switch to the new re-encoding mode. (The audio quality is down to AAC in this mode, and the download speed will also be slightly affected but the video quality remains almost close to the original.)
