I have heard from a reliable source that ITVX is on the shortlist of new modules to be released in the future. Whether that future is one week away or one year away, I have no knowledge. Personally, I would prefer that the developer use their time working on problems with existing modules rather than creating new modules but it's not my call.

ITV.COM was listed as a supported site and that is the address for ITVX. A few "up" grades ago it worked fine then a new version stopped it working. I've given up waiting. The A******** Plus not only works with ITVX but you can batch download ITVX too.

The devs are working on a standalone module for ITVx. You will also be able to batch download with it, along with the other advantages StreamFab brings to the table

If previous new modules are anything to go by if an ITVX one does arrive I will be expected to pay out again and that won't be happening. If Streamfab kept up with things there would be no need to blank out the name of the competition.

Worth noting that a few "upgrades" ago ITVX worked perfectly although without batch downloads

And guess what? There's an ITVX module yet even though I paid for Streamfab when it was almost brand new I'm expected to pay everytime a new module appears. A few "upgrades" ago ITVX worked fine with MPD. An "improved" version now fails with MPD to ensure we have to pay for the new ITVX module. I'm done being ripped off and will whenever possible stick to A N Y S T R E A M +

What was the exact date that you purchased StreamFab, which was known as DRM Video Downloader initially? There was a deadline of March 10, 2021 to receive all future modules for free. Did you buy in time? I don't know what "almost brand new" means.

ITV Hub only started making the transition to ITVX in November of 2022. Since then they have gone from non-DRM to DRM, that is your "improved" version. MPD, short for Mpeg-Dash, is a streaming protocol. MPD can transport both DRM and non-DRM. In the case of ITV Hub and the beginnings of ITVX it was non-DRM. Any of the hundreds of so-called "Youtube Downloaders" available across the Internet could have downloaded the files from there. Now it is DRM protected. You can follow the struggles the yt-dlp crew ran into with their ITV extractor at the time in this Issue report - https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/issues/5570. In the case of the ITVX module you are paying for the defeating of the DRM so that you can download the files. I don't know how you can blame StreamFab because ITV decided to add DRM to their website. Perhaps StreamFab is to blame for Netflix or HBO having DRM, too?

I left out the rest of your message due to extremely poor taste on your part.

I was a subscriber to the Downloader long before that date. Although I may have received a refund after the initial purchase because it quite simply didn't work properly and had so many issues it wasn't worth having. So I may have purchased again after that date but regardless I purchased it when everything was all in one , there were no separate Amazon, Netflix or Disney downloaders. Once they arrived I was expected to pay for each new module.
Not sure what is poor taste about mentioning a competing service that's worked for longer

If that is the case, then you have no right to complain that you have to pay each time a new module comes out. The deal to receive all future modules for free was a reward for having to go through that buggy period. You bailed and received a refund instead. You can't have it both ways.
On the other subject, you may not be sure about poor taste, but I am certain of it. It has long been recognized as being against Internet Ethics to promote a competitor on one's forum. Jack has removed your attempt at it once already. I would not be surprised if he goes beyond that when he reads today's messages because you are being so blatant about it in defiance of his actions.

I saw the name with spaces to go around the **** so i just left it up to the other mods to approve the message.

I also own the competitor's program and they don't like when we mention StreamFab there so i figured we'd do the same here.

But this is not my company so i am not the law around here.

In my humble opinion, StreamFab is better. I use the competitor strictly for Peacock as it doesn't have H265 or multiple bitrates so my only annoyances is that i need to remux everything to MKV after the fact.

If Peacock ever gets multiple bitrates and/or H265, then i will put more pressure on SF to fix the issues.

I did mention it in passing this week on the Zoom chat

I must have missed that bit. There was me thinking that when I paid £100+ for a program that it was actually supposed to work and do what was advertised.

I don't recall anything about it being a work in progress that would actually take at least a year for important problems to be sorted out. Some like the subtitle problem on Bluray Creator still isn't over 2 years after it first popped up.

I agree that when it works Streamfab is better but having made extra payments for at least 2 more modules I'm not paying for any more specially when things that haven't been working for a long time still don't work

Paid for the ITVX downloader and guess what? Unlike the opposition the Streamfab version downloads subtitles when NONE is selected. It wouldn't be a problem of course if the Bluray Creator problem thats been there for over 2 years was sorted out so that burned discs don't default to ON every time you watch a new episode.
