I am becoming very disappointed. It was okay when it was just Max, but now its spread to Tubi, and Netflix also, whats next? Is SD the future of downloading? I understand it takes time to do this but it has been 2 years for Max, I hope it's not going to be that long for Netflix and Tubi.

And with Netflix, the competitor is having issues too. No HD over there either. So its not just a FAB issue.
I haven't used Tubi.Last edited by KidJoe; 10-20-2023, 04:42 AM.

I'm guessing its not everything because I just fired up the Max downloader, queued up Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the old Gene Wilder movie) and its 720p (1280x692 which is 720p at 1.85:1 aspect ratio), and Meg 2 is 1600*670 which is some odd resolution between 720p and 1080p. But it is available as 1280x536 (720p at 2.40:1 aspect) and it even has Atmos!??! (640 kb/s, 48 kHz, 6 channel, E-AC-3 JOC DDP w/Atmos).

We all know the competitor is 1080p in Max, so one day 720p is not good enough for you but now it's fine right? You play two sides when it suits you.
That being said. Re-read your first post, the way you typed it, "Is SD the future of downloading?" while saying first MAX and spread to TUBI and Netflix.Originally posted by Chameleon View PostI am becoming very disappointed. Since Netflix is now SD, it reads as if you are saying Max is SD now, rather than 720p. That is why I mentioned using SF's Max Downloader I can still get 720p for me, not SD. I guess what you were really saying is... "First issues with MAX that linger, now issues with TUBI and NETFLIX... what is the next issue going to be, SD for all?"
AND the only thing I mentioned in this thread about the competitor is they too are having issues with better than SD with Netflix. So its not just StreamFab that is impacted. And I did NOT mention the competitor in the other thread at all, even when I talked about Max.
So if I'm being boneheaded, its because I misunderstood what you were trying to say. (Just like you apparently either misunderstood or misremembered what I was saying in the other thread, and misunderstanding what I typed in my reply to you here).
I do share your frustration and agree with you that I hope this Netflix issue doesn't take as long to fix as Max.

What bothered me was that you said your issue was solved because you have the Amazon module for Max (1080p), what about people who bought the Max module thinking they would have 1080p, now they can buy the Amazon module and sign up for Max also. I am sure you are aware that if you signed up for the Max module you cannot have access to the Amazon Max provider, but if you buy the Amazon module you do have access to the Max module, none of which is explained here. Let's cut to the chase, you were well aware of what I meant when I said Max was SD, sure 720p is considered HD, but not FHD that you need with a large screen TV.Last edited by Chameleon; 10-20-2023, 05:29 PM.Programmer in Python, Java, JavaScript, Swift, PHP, SQL, C#, C++, Go, R

I NEVER SAID or claimed the 720p Max issue was solved and not an issue simply because we have the option to purchase Max as a channel via Amazon Download module (if you purchased that) and down load that way. Again, in the recent thread I complained about, I said MAX didn't have the the trailer so it didn't exhibit the symptom of the wrong episode number.

Instead of listening to my side and my reasons, you are assuming and accusing me of things I did not say or do.
And lets look at the title for this thread you wrote...6.1.4.6 Max Tubi Netflix all at SD Whats Next?
And SD usually equates to anything below 720p, so like 540p/480p/360p.
From now on I guess I'll stick to starting posts with my issues, and nothing more.

Fair enough, I will change my initial comment and say all 3 are not what they should be. Let's just bring this conversation to an end and agree the program isn't living up to expectations. I hope you will agree to that. As far as I am concerned, enough has been said.Programmer in Python, Java, JavaScript, Swift, PHP, SQL, C#, C++, Go, R
