I have the same issue as Cats4U. The content of C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\CEF\User Data\WidevineCdm folder have disappeared and I got the black screen again when I press the movie/serie button when using Skyshowtime.. Replacing the CEF folder did got Skyshowtime Module to work again
    .
Perhaps it is related to the fact that the latest version of Winevidecmd is 4.10.2710.0. The Windevinecmd version in CEF Zip is 4.10.2557.0 !

I don't know if that's the problem but I'm in the middle of watching my college football game so I can't really get into it right now. There should be a URL to an Widevine update listed in the manifest.json file of widevinecdm. I'll check it out later.

How come I can use Peacock and the only issue I have is being logged out at the end of every session.

That's another issue that has nothing to do with the Endless Analysis. One thing that is also fixed is that it appears that Peacock doesn't need to send the green line across 15-16 times during Download analysis. I have no idea why you weren't affected by the "dot" analysis problem. Somehow or other you must have gotten the correct Widevine files installed on their own without having to use CEF.7z. That, or a deity is rewarding you for clean living.

Nah, no luck with the manifest.json method but I did find this...

With that I was able to get my Widevine updated to 4.10.2710.0 for my Chrome browser but it doesn't automatically place it under the Users directory and so it can't be used directly with CEF. Not all the content files in CEF.7z are also in the Chrome update. I haven't checked out updates from Firefox and Edge browsers to see how compatible they might be. Probably I'll just let the developer supply the update for CEF since I can't figure out where he gets them. I did see an update to 4.10.2710.0 for qt5-webengine-widevine (which would be another way of saying QCEF, I would think) but that was for Linux and not Windows. I'm coming to the end of what knowledge I have on the subject and so I'm just going to leave it where it's at. Hopefully Widevinecdm's contents won't disappear anymore.

It happened again. The contents of the C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\CEF\User Data\WidevineCdm folder have disappeared and I get the endless Analysis with Peacock again. There are actually two WidevineCdm folders - 1) WidevineCdm under User Data with all the content missing and 2) WidevineCdm- (note: hyphen or minus sign at the end) under User Data with all the content there. I really don't remember what was there before extracting the files from CEF.7z.
I think the one with the hyphen is just a poor job at cleaning up the folder before archiving. They renamed the old folder rather than delete it.

Well, I managed to get through the night without the C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\CEF\User Data\WidevineCdm folder disappearing again. Hope it stays that way.

I followed it twice and had disappearances each time. I changed my method and first deleted the CEF folder. Then I extracted the CEF.7z contents into %userprofile%/AppData/Local/. No disappearance yet. Small change but it is working longer than the original method. Fingers are crossed that it stays that way.

Firstly, I don't think 4.10.2710.0 is the cause for the disappearance. I believe it is more likely that because the CEF folder was not deleted before CEF.7z was extracted I think that may have had something to do with it. The other suspect is that Widevinecdm- directory.
I've got some news, I've removed the Widevinecdm- folder and removed 4.10.2557.0. I'm running on 4.10.2710.0 Widevine and it is working great. My wife has some plans for me this afternoon and so I'll be testing it some more tonight and if all continues to go well I'll release my own CEF.7z. Maybe CDMCats.zip.
In the near future I'll probably be coming out with other file updates that should have been done by the Developer a long time ago. They will include ffmpeg, arias2c, mkvmerge, MediaInfo, and atomicparsley. I've been using these updated files for about a year without a single problem caused by them.

Attached is my version of CEF.7z which I call CDMCats.zip. It ups Widevine to the latest release which is 4.10.2710.0. CEF.7z uses 4.10.2557.0 which is two versions behind the latest.

                      Instructions:
                      Turn off StreamFab
                      Make a backup of %userprofile%/AppData/Local/CEF
Delete the CEF folder from %userprofile%/AppData/Local/
                      Extract CDMCats.zip to %userprofile%/AppData/Local/
Start StreamFab and download a video (preferably from Peacock or one of the previously affected streamers)

                      Usual disclaimers -
Only make this change if you know what you are doing.
It works for me, I don't guarantee that it will work for you.
This is not an official DVDFab release and may interfere with official DVDFab releases later.
I don't have any money so don't bother suing me
If things go wrong, delete the CEF folder and install your backup.

                      Download this file - https://drive.google.com/file/d/15ME...ew?usp=sharing
Hopefully this download works. I've had more trouble trying to find a way to get this file to you on this forum than it took for me to make it up in the first place.

Google Drive wasn't working exactly the way I wanted it to so I am removing that download method. Unfortunately I got here too late and I can't get rid of the message above.

Please use this link instead. Sorry about the confusion. It is just so hard to share a file on this forum.

Just for my own edification, all the people who are having problems with the endless analysis, have you ever skipped a version of StreamFab?

Ever since Chameleon was having that Netflix issue where he fixed it by going back several versions and installing every version in between, i do the same.

If i see a version that has nothing interesting to me, or it breaks something, i wait until the next version but just before installing the newest version, i install the version i skipped first.

Just wondering if that could be the common denominator.

                            Hi Jack!

I have a feeling that that's not the issue this time. I do a clean install with each new update that I load. I, too, load versions based on whether they have fixes I need or features I want. I routinely skip versions and have skipped as many as 3 versions in a row. As I said, I always do a clean install. I delete SteamFab's Log and Temp folders and then do a complete uninstall using Ashampoo's Uninstall program (see note). This removes StreamFab, its configuration, and its Windows registry entries. I then use Ashampoo's Uninstall to install the new StreamFab version. It records a log of all the changes made during the install so that during the next uninstall it will catch everything. I then get StreamFab reauthorized and make all the usual Settings and Gui changes to my liking. I usually run one test download and if successful I'll add updated files (such as FFmpeg, MKVMerge, and etc.) and do another test download.

I am leaning toward the disappearing problem is caused by the widevinecdm- folder. Initially I set up CDMCats.zip with both 4.10.2710.0 and 4.10.2557.0 under the Widevinecdm folder. After I ran a test download I noticed that the 4.10.2557.0 directory had disappeared. So, it seems that StreamFab only wants one Windvinecdm, the second one, and the first one disappears. Widevinecdm- is kept with CEF.7z and 4.10.2710.0 with CDMCats.zip.

Note: I use whatever Uninstall program is cheapest at the time of subscription renewal. They all seem to have a 1 year subscription plan and all the programs seem to work almost identically.

Sadly I have to report that I had a directory disappearance with CDMCats.zip just like with CEF.7z. I thought I had it all figured out but obviously I didn't. Having to guess how and where StreamFab stores things is very hard without the source code. The log doesn't even notify you that the Widevine is missing to give you a clue. The big question is why does it disappear after a day or two?
Hopefully the developer has already fixed this and has used the latest 4.10.2710.0 Widevine. In the meantime, if you lose a Widevine folder just reinstall CEF.7z or CDMCats.zip.

                                Mona or Wilson.Wang ,

It's almost that time of the week for a new update so I'm not sure if the permanent Widevine fix has already made it to the upcoming update or not. In my research, it seems the one thing that I'm not able to do as a mere user is to actually register a particular version of Widevine with CEF (QCEF). That might be the reason (about my 8th theory on this) for the disappearances. Obviously without me having access to the source code, anything I produce as an outsider will eventually fail. I'm sure that the developer, if he is to earn that name, already knows about registering Widevine but you never know and I just wanted to throw that idea out to them.
