    StreamFab for Windows 6191 Win11 x64 bugged

    on Win11 x64 platform...

It's been some days after i updated from 6190 to 6191 that i noticed every file in the queue failed....then i had the idea: reinstall versione 6190.
I bought extended download services and downloaded some "not so new" versions, including the 6190. Installed the 6190 and made again file queue....WORKS!

So for me 6191 was with some bugs.

Is there a way to not to let the program check for new versions?
Just to stay on this working one....

    Glad to share my experience.

I don't think there's a way to disable automatic update check, at least I've never find it. Just don't update the program when the prompt appears if you don't want to update. Also, have you tried uninstall and reinstall again? 6.1.9.1 is working fine for me.

      Rename StreamUpdate.exe if not running

and optional Disable the Autostart in Task-Manager

or use a tool like this here

You mention that you have reinstalled version 6190. Why didn't you just do a clean install of version 6191? Did you use the updater to upgrade from version 6190 to 6191?

I did a clean install but with no luck.
The first time i upgraded 6190 to 6191 with th internal updater, not downloading the offline version and installing onto the 6190.

              Never use the updater!

You were not very clear as to what service or services you had trouble with.
I know it's easiest to go back to 6190, but that had issues of its own, and that is why 6191 came out so soon.
USING SF uninstall, uninstall SF and you also will get a prompt to delete settings CHECK that option.
IF using Windows, get the program Everything, this is an amazing program every Windows user should have.
Once SF is uninstalled search for streamfab and IF there is any leftover on your Hard Drive called streamfab delete that too.
Get the full installer from here and install SF again. YES, you will have to set your settings up again, and then if using a pay service log in again.
I use Peacock, Amazon, Netflix, Pluto, Tubu, and several others and have little issue.

Now reading here in the forum, there seems to be some kind of issues with Max, possibly Disney and HULU and a few others I have NO access to.
SO, if still having issues, show the provider(s) and possible error codes(s) and maybe even a few titles.

And if not, and you have 6190 working I guess stay with it. A simple rename of StreamUpdate.exe to something like StreamUpdateNO.exe, will prevent it from popping up for updates.
On or about the end of 2024 I will be losing access to Netflix Standard.
After that, I might reevaluate if I want Netflix Standard /w Ads.
I will continue to have access to Amazon w/ Ads and Peacock w/ Ads.
TheCW, Pluto, Roku Channel, Tubi, and Plex, along with others, are good FREE w/ Ads services.

I often see users here say
I did a clean install but with no luck.
but I rarely see them mention the first step of doing a clean install, which is prior to even doing a professional uninstall.

                  1. Totally delete the contents of your StreamFab Log & Temp directories. Please refer to your StreamFab Settings as to where you have told SF where to save them.
