Prime Video Errors When Downloading Mr. Robot Episodes from Amazon Prime

I'm running into an issue when trying to download the Mr. Robot episodes from Amazon Prime. Streamfab works to download the episode but once it gets to the process of remixing the file to be stored on the computer it fails. This happens for all of the episodes in Season 1 - 3. The special features from all four seasons as well as all of the episodes from season 4 download fine. I'm guessing it's due to how the episodes in the first 3 seasons are named. If you look at the episodes in the first 3 seasons the episode tiles all end with .mkv, .mp4, .wmv, .asf, .m4v or similar. I'm guessing the file extension that is included as part of the episode name is causing issues with the remix & save process when Streamfab attempts to create the MP4 or MKV file.

One other thing to note, although StreamFab fails on the remix and save process I noticed that the .srt file for the captions saves correctly for each episode even though the remix/save of the main episode file does not.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?

    Thank you
    Scott

I downloaded those episodes years ago when they first aired; I don't remember having any problems with the extensions appearing in the filename then. Your profile says that you are located in Illinois. Are you trying to download from US Amazon servers, or are you set for Amazon Prime? What type of file do you have your settings set to output to? MP4 or MKV? In the meantime, I'll try to redownload a few episodes from seasons 1-3.

Funny coincident, I just downloaded these today, am still on 6192. H265 CBR MP4 subtitles as SRT no issues. Windows 10 Pro x64

I only got as far as eps1.1_one-and-zer0es.mpeg and streamfab failed.
And also streamfab numbered them wrong, I am guessing because of the Sneak Peek for a whole 2min.
        Did not test other episodes.

ADDED: I just switched from mkv to mp4 in streamfab and eps1.1_one-and-zer0es.mpeg, downloaded with no error.

On or about the end of 2024 I will be losing access to Netflix Standard.
After that, I might reevaluate if I want Netflix Standard /w Ads.
I will continue to have access to Amazon w/ Ads and Peacock w/ Ads.
TheCW, Pluto, Roku Channel, Tubi, and Plex, along with others, are good FREE w/ Ads services.

          Looks like in picture here

I've no access to Mr. Robot (no Prime US/CA ..)

          > Files all end with .mkv, .mp4

          Yes, that looks obvious ..

Try to change Settings => Prefered Settings => For TV Shows
          and remove episode.name
place cursor before "episode.name" and press Del

Bottomline: There seems to be a problem with MKVMerge and the extensions at the end of the filename. Change to having the output file use .MP4 or use the FFmpeg version of .MKV in your VIP settings. Don't use .MKV from MKVToolNix (aka MKVMerge). StreamFab uses MKVToolNix version 68 (two years old); the latest stable version is 86. Neither work with these episodes.
