Recent Problems with StreamFab

The Staff is aware of the recent problems you have reported and been discussing concerning download failures and low quality of video from many streamers. Most of these began around June 1 when the suppliers made upgrades to their DRM encryption. Needless to say, StreamFab requires this data to work properly and has not been able to acquire it for some streams.

We are sorry for the frustration we know you have experienced and began taking steps to correct the problem soon after it began. The Developers hope to have a solution ready for testing soon and ready for release to you in 1-2 weeks.

Many have asked if a particular problem can be attributed to this DRM change by the supplier sites; generally you will find internal error codes 306 or 308 in the drmDownloader log file if it is the DRM issue. This is what the Developers are working on.

We regret this inconvenience for our users and thank you for your continued feedback and patience. The Staff is working diligently to provide the high performance you have come to expect from DVDFab products.

I hate to be "that guy" but it's been more than the 1-2 weeks mentioned in the initial post.

So far, none of the release notes mention the fix. Even in 4.0.0.4, downloads from Amazon are not improved.

Is there an update on what we should expect?

There was a marketing email saying that a "major" version is going to released that fixes all the streaming problems and provides 1080p .. When is that planned to be released ?

I got those emails too, however they mentioned Amazon still is being worked on, and as such won't be part of the fix. Yet.

I hate to mention that the Amazon quality issues (wouldn't download in 1080p or 720p) started in mid-May. The post you quote was about a worse issue that started early June. This newer issue has been fixed and we are back to the problem that started in mid-May.
