    30 rock on peacock

has anyone ever got 30 Rock from peacock. Did you get all of the episodes? Peacock doesn't seem to have episode 2 of season 3 or episode 4 and 10 of season 5. Has anyone been able to get these from somewhere else?

I believe those are what they call the superfan episodes. They were longer than typical episodes. I just received an email from Peacock today that said they are now online.

something is fishy episode numbers and titles don't match up peacock season 3 ep 3 is cast of night court, that is listed as ep 2 on netflix. peacock showing 22 eps ending with kidney now, netflix shows kidney now as ep 21. I will look for other diffrences. IMDB also shows 22 with night court being ep 3, ep 2 is titled believe in the stars

            Wthomas69,

Found something related after looking into...

            Removed:

            3-2 "Believe in the Stars"
5-4 "The Live Show" (seems to still be on Netflix)
            5-10 "Christmas Attack Zone"
            6-19 Live from Studio 6H

The creators of 30 Rock, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, have asked that episodes of the series be pulled because they feature characters wearing blackface. The show’s owner, NBCUniversal, has backed up the request.

Some of the episodes have already been pulled from Amazon and Hulu and the rest should be taken off streaming by the end of the week. The episodes will also not be broadcast in the show’s syndication and the episodes will also be removed for purchase on iTunes and Google Play. The episodes include “Believe In The Stars” (season 3, episode 2) and “Christmas Attack Zone” (season 5, episode 10), which feature Jane Krakowski’s character Jenna Maroney wearing blackface and “Live from Studio 6H” (season 6, episode 19), which featured Jon Hamm in blackface.

The East Coast version of “The Live Show” (season 5, episode 4) will also be removed from streaming, however, it does not appear to have featured any characters in blackface. The West Coast version of the episode will remain.

Fey said in a note which was obtained by Vulture, “As we strive to do the work and do better in regards to race in America, we believe that these episodes featuring actors in race-changing makeup are best taken out of circulation. I understand now that ‘intent’ is not a free pass for white people to use these images. I apologize for pain they have caused. Going forward, no comedy-loving kid needs to stumble on these tropes and be stung by their ugliness. I thank NBCUniversal for honoring this request.”

The episodes in question were all credited to white writers except for an executive story editor credit to Donald Glover for season 3’s "Believe in the Stars.” This is also not the first time Fey has been at the center of controversy for showing white actors appear as other races in her shows. In her Netflix Original, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Krakowski plays a character that is found out to be Lakota. Her native background appears several times in the show.

Content platforms are re-evaluating the content they stream. News of taking down these episodes comes on the heels of HBO Max briefly removing Gone With the Wind from streaming (before making it available again with an introduction from film scholar Jacqueline Stewart). While Gone With The Wind was from 1939, these episodes range in air dates from 2008 to 2012.
