    Hiya,

Just another user here, but need more info to respond properly & possibly duplicate.

Your: Location?, Platform (Win/Mac)?, Version of StreamFab?, Your download settings in VIP services (MP4?, H264/265?, Video Res?)

Mine is: US, HBOMax, Movie: "The Batman", Win10/64, StreamFab 5.0.3.7, Download Settings (see attached)

    Worked fine for me.

    8.95Gb, HEVC, 6492kb/s, 1920x1080, Audio 768 kb/s, 48khz, 6 channels, E-AC-3 JOC (Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos)

MIKE: Are you saying that you were just able to download a new movie from hbomax in 1080p with the latest program update?

        Thanks

          Ndx47a3,

With the settings I have (see attached - didn't try others) under VIP in 5.0.3.7...

The Batman downloaded 1080p on HBO Max this morning for me, that means it uses the old DRM I believe.

Fantastic Beasts - The Secret Secrets of Dumbledore gets the 720p popup message and will only do 720p on HBO Max.

Not all movies are 720p - ones that used the old DRM will do 1080p, newer ones being put up now do 720p.

          720p

          Navalny
          Old
          Irma Vep
          RoadRunner
Fantastic Beasts - The Secret Secrets of Dumbledore

          1080p

          The Batman
          The Matrix Resurrections
          Dune
          Watchmen
          300

            Oh, well. Thanks anyway Mike!

I was hoping for the best. hbo apparently re-uploaded 2 episodes out of over a hundred and those 2 were also apparently redone with the new format or maybe they just missed uploading them the first time around. Either way I am waiting for the fix to get those last 2 eps in 1080p to match the rest.

                That sucks.
I almost think we need a thread...what works this week. Love the program, just wish it could all be more reliable or stable , I know, changes get made all the time.

This is what happens when you rely on outsourced development instead of doing the work yourself.

Just a tip if everything fails, but on other sources it is possible to get it as a BD Remux, so there you will get the movie in a much higher quality.

Can you do this with Steam Fab?

I really wish they would support H.265. Aside from the amount of providers and IMHO, the better UI, StreamFab's killer feature is H.265 downloads for Amazon Prime and HBO Max. Really hope they add that feature for Netflix as i see plenty of Netflix scene releases in H.265

No it has to be downloaded from torrent or file hosts which is unsupported by StreamFab, where they normally are as MKV and also packed using Winrar.

I believe DVDFab is a Chinese company. Just where do you think they're outsourcing too, and what foundation is there for that assumption?
